Negative: The room is too small and uncomfortable bed, no air conditioning, the room was hot.

Positive: I liked that it was located in a magical little village that is 500 years old. I also liked the fact that it was located close to quite a few trails and Geo sites that I want med to visit while I was in this part of Newfoundland.

Negative: The bed was so high up that I had to jump to get into it. I know that they had a stool previously in that room, but someone took it. Another stool would help with that.

Positive: The room was in an old home converted to a hotel. The downstairs living room, dining room and games table was for everyone to enjoy - I believe 4 bedrooms upstairs in the home. Our room was a good size and overlooked the street and the water beyond. Coffee and tea were provided. The breakfast provided at the other hotel was excellent. They were able to accommodate my being celiac.

Negative: The breakfast was provided in their other hotel from 8 am on - a short drive on a cold day! There was only one choice provided for the breakfast for free - it was an excellent breakfast sandwich with juice and coffee or tea. Also, the key had to be picked up at the main location and dropped off there too - we left our key with the breakfast staff as check in/out people were not there at 8:45 am. I would call these small inconveniences for some.

Summary: We enjoyed the hotel, easily walked through the main part of town and would stay there again.
